At CybageAsha, we aim at equipping women with life skills that will help them gain control over their own lives. To take this forward, CybageKhushboo, in association with Mann Deshi Foundation, conducted a ‘Diya and Candle making’ workshop in Sanjay Park, one of its adopted slum communities, in Pune.

A total of 20 women from the community actively participated in the workshop and learned to make various items such as wax candles, jelly candles, birthday candles, diwali special candles among others.

The trainers also provided knowledge about the wholesale market for raw materials, packaging, market linkages, profit and expenses management and so on, thus empowering these women by giving them a source of sustainable income.

All the beneficiaries of the program belong to the Sanjay Park community.
