Advancement of technology and the automation of basic facilities have led to an increase in the need to educate oneself. Unfortunately, a lot of people are without even basic education. CybageKhushboo’s adult literacy program for the residents of its economically challenged adopted communities is helping improve many lives.
This year, the literacy program reached out to CybageKhusbhoo’s adopted community, Sarvaniyavas in Ahmedabad. A digital literacy center was inaugurated on December 20, 2019. The inauguration was done by Geeta Lalwani, Head Operations, and Pranav Joshi, Delivery Head of CSR Gandhinagar. Mr. JK, Senior Vice President of the operations department, also graced this event. Two hundred beneficiaries from the Sarvaniyavas community embarked on the mission towards learning to read and write.
To encourage more people into literacy, and to know the impact of the program, CybageKhushboo invited the beneficiaries to share their experiences. Many of them said the best use of studying is that they will never be cheated or deceived. Many people said that now they will be able to read the forms in the banks and sign on them without taking anyone’s help.
