To empower underprivileged women to gain financial independence, CybageAsha organized a vocational workshop in December 2020. This 3-day workshop was conducted by two trainers from Kasturba Mahila Vidyalay.
After the completion of the training program, CybageAsha conducted a certificate distribution event at Moroshi.
33 women of Self Help Groups (SHGs) from six villages, including Moroshi, Shirgaon, Tokawade, and Dhamangaon participated in the training program.
The women were given vocational training to make incense sticks (agarbattis) and candles. The trainers not only trained them on the method of production but also imparted knowledge on raw materials, costing marketing, and selling of the finished products.
The event witnessed the presence of dignitaries such as the village official (sarpanch), other members of the gram panchayat, and Suraj Pol from CETR NGO. The dignitaries congratulated these women and conferred them completion certificates. Suraj Pol addressed the event with an impactful message, motivating the women to start and expand their own business. 10 women have already started the production of incense sticks and candles.
CybageAsha recently started developmental initiatives in Moroshi cluster and plans to continue contributing to its holistic development.
