I’m pursuing B. Tech in Computer Engineering from MKSSS Cummins College of Engineering for Women, Pune. The CybageKhushboo Scholarship helped me in my educational journey. I received the scholarship from 2019 to 2023. Today, I have secured a job as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon (off-campus) and Visa (on-campus). I will be joining Amazon after my graduation. I interned at Amazon for two months and received a pre-placement offer. CybageKhushboos financial support helped me in achieving my dreams. I also learnt a lot from the soft skills training sessions conducted by Pankaj Sir. The sessions conducted by Vipul Sir created a strong foundation for my technical skills. Akash is a student residing at a hostel at Dhankawdi. Akash lost his parents at a very early age and has been living alone since then. As Akash had to be independent of a very early age, independence is something that has been important to him. He always wanted to start his own business, but due to lack of education and also as he had no way to reach out to people, he had no clue from where he could begin his journey. When he joined this course, he got the idea of starting his own business. He decided to build a website and tie-up with the local milk providers so that people could order milk online without leaving their houses. Akash has now started to build his website with the help of his friends. Once his website goes live, he is also going to pursue a Digital Marketing course.

Nandini is a school student residing at Mundhwa with her father, mother, and elder brother. Nandini wanted to learn more about computers and the Internet to get help with her studies as the following year; she will be taking her Std.10th board exams. She wants to secure a good score, so she decided to join the course. Nandini mainly focused on searching for information online about the e-payment and e-commerce apps which she thought would be helpful for her parents. She also focused on applying for government documents online and searching for YouTube videos related to her studies. She is planning to use the Internet to help her with her studies rather than opting for a private coaching class, which is something that she can’t really afford.

Leena is a homemaker residing at Keshav Nagar with her family. She is a member of the local Self-help group. She always wanted to find the records of the land owned by her family, but it was not possible to pay frequent visits to the Tahsildars office. She got to know about the DE course through the head of the SHG. Leena was also surprised to know that she could pay her utility bills online using her Smartphone and book cabs too. She had never visited any of the PMC websites before taking the course, this she did during the tenure of the course. Leena has now successfully obtained the records for her land, and she is also helping other women from her Self Help Group who are facing the same problem.

His father works as a security guard while his mother works as domestic help. Laxman is currently pursuing his masters degree through distance education from Balbhim Mahavidyalaya, Beed. His family income is not enough to bear the expenses of his education, therefore, he works part-time in a restaurant to support himself and continue his higher education. Laxman came to know of the DE course through his friend who is an alumnus of the course. Laxman wanted to enhance his digital skills, which he believed would help him in his education and also in his daily life. This served as the motivation for him to join the course.

Surekha heads a Bachat Gat and has to maintain records for this group. Previously, she would struggle to manually maintain the files and registers. She was not aware of convenient digital ways to do this. She was not aware of the Pune Mahanagar Palika websites Samaj Vikas tab through which she could have done her job in a more organized manner. During the lockdown, it became even more difficult as accessing records physically from everyone became difficult. Surekha learnt about the DE course from one of the alumni. To get her work done in a better and digitally sound way, she joined the DE course. Now, she is better adept at managing her tasks in a timely and secure manner from the confines of her home.

Ayesha is a student of Nutan Madhyamik Vidyalaya and resides in Shinde Vasti. Her father works in a private company in a clerical post and is the sole earning member of the family. Ayesha wanted to learn about digital devices. Coming from an underprivileged background, she never got an opportunity to do so. But by attending the DE course she became well versed in digital platforms. Ayesha learnt that tracking ration is possible online. She is thankful to CybageKhushboo and Pune City Connect for this opportunity to learn new things.

Srushti is a resident of Shukrawar Peth. Her father runs a clothes shop and is the sole earning member of the family. Shrushti wanted to continue her education but due to the financial situation of the household, she could not. She came across a WhatsApp forward for the DE class and contacted the facilitators. Her father’s business had suffered during the lockdown. When she learnt that the DE course offered training on diverse digital topics including online payments and Swayam app, she was motivated to join the course. Srushti learnt about online payment apps that enabled her father to do quick online payments to wholesalers and customers. She also joined the free course for banking and accounting on the Swayam app. With this, she could help her father and participate actively in her father’s business.

Tabassum is a resident of Nana Peth who runs a small photocopy shop. Tabassum’s husband worked in a company in a clerical position but during the lockdown, his income stopped. This made Tabassum the sole earning member running a household of four. She came to know about the course and saw it as an opportunity to learn things online and use the knowledge in her business as well. Tabassum registered on the Maharashtra Government's “Aaple Sarkar” website and applied for the shop act licence for her photocopy shop. She even applied for a shop act licence for one of her customers. She is helping others with this knowledge gained. Tabassum is able to operate digital devices with a lot of confidence now.

Ranjana is an Anganwadi sevika. She has a family of six and, along with her husband, contributes to the income of the household. She did not know about online transactions and faced problems. When she got to know about the DE course and its curriculum, she was motivated to join. In this course, Ranjana learnt how to do online transactions and is now very proficient in this. From being someone who could barely operate a smartphone, Ranjana has become a digitally confident person.

After completing his ITI, Sarjerao worked for a company for a brief period and then started his own business of repairing electronic devices. During the lockdown, Sarjerao’s business suffered for two reasons: 1) customers could not physically approach him, and 2) even when the customers came, payments suffered as cash transactions became erratic. This often led to delayed payments. Sarjerao came to know about the DE course and joined the training to learn something that could help his business during the lockdown. Sarjerao learnt about e-payment apps through which he started receiving payments from his customers immediately. Now, he does not have to wait long for receiving cash payments. Through this course, Sarjerao also learnt that social media can be used for promoting his business. He plans to promote his business through Facebook and WhatsApp very soon which would help in getting online customers.

Preeti is a resident of Hadapsar and is an Anganwadi sevika. She lives with her 2 sons and her husband. She is a student of Kondhwa center. Preeti Joshi, a resident of Hadapsar, is an Anganwadi sevika. She joined the Digital Empowerment Track course because she wanted to learn how to use her smartphone for more important things apart from calling. Preeti is now capable of handling records of her Anganwadi team through excel and online Google sheets and pays her bills online. She also teaches other sevikas what she has learnt from the course. Preeti has started organizing yoga lessons online through zoom meets, and she also wishes to start her own YouTube channel in the future.

My paternal grandparents passed away in trauma, after that my maternal uncle took me and my three sisters to his house at Osmanabad. His financial condition didn't allow him to feed us all, so he admitted us to a government residential school. I secured 88.80% in 10th Std and 78.60% in 12th Std. After that, I could complete my B.Sc. in Nursing only because of the CybageKhushboo scholarship. Considering my disastrous background and excellent academic performance, I was granted a full scholarship. Currently, I am working as a staff nurse in Deenanath Mangeshkar hospital with a salary of Rs.19,500/- per month. I am now playing the role of a parent to my younger sisters and am confident about helping them complete their education. I am grateful to this trust for their unconditional support.

I always aspired to have a career for myself that would make me financially independent. I am now working at Sana Hospital and working on conducting ECG and sugar tests for patients. CybageKhushboo is a term I am emotionally attached to. And yes, this is not only because I got a Rs 50,000 scholarship per year for 3 years, but also the values the entire team has added to my life. I used to be worried about fees but then I applied for the scholarship and got selected. Our weekly classes were very helpful to improve personality, to make ourselves employable. I am now employed by Dhole Patil Academy as a Mathematics coach. I must say that starting from morning snacks, to travel arrangements and lunch, this program provided everything to us. Our trainer started teaching us English from very basic grammar. There were extempore and group activities, which taught me to be confident and fearless. The weekly sessions helped me improve my skills and it was because of this that I was able to represent my college at the national level. My college team ranked AIR 10. I was first introduced to CybageKhushboo three years ago when I began pursuing my Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and I think this is a rocking platform for scholar students. I am from Kondhwa , Pune which is identified as one of the most backward areas of the city. I am pursuing my graduation in Commerce. He is an auto driver who is the sole earning member of the family. Prior to joining the adult literacy class, he faced difficulties with customer communication, as well as, banking transactions. Most of the time he required help from others to accomplish his bank and other works. He was illiterate and could not read even simple text. Now, after doing the adult literacy course, he can communicate, and read without any difficulty. He now is confident enough to handle his work life without any help.

Bhagyashree Waghmare, from Ambedkar Nagar, supports her family by working in a grocery shop in her community. She could not manage and maintain her expense record and her illiteracy was causing difficulties for her. She could not do basic accounting. Now, the scenario has completely changed. She is running the shop more confidently. She can read, write, and is also able to manage her accounts perfectly.

Vaishali is a housewife, who is illiterate, and she feels helpless when she tries to help her children with their homework. One day she came to know that CybageKhushboo was conducting an adult literacy program in her community. She made enquiries about the class and showed her interest to join the course. My name is Reshma Kendre Patil, and I am pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering degree in the field of computer from MIT College of Engineering, Pune. I got placed as a software developer in Varroc during campus placement. After two technical rounds, only two students were selected from IT and CS. I was super excited that I was one of them. Sujata Kasbe, a housekeeper by profession attended the adult literacy classes while managing her work simultaneously. She said that the adult literacy program increased her confidence and now she can read quite well. This course inspired her to read new books and opened a whole new world to her. Manisha, from Ambedkar Nagar, had joined the adult literacy course for two reasons. She wanted to read the holy bible and also wanted to help her children with their daily schoolwork. Now, during the Sunday prayer, not only can she read the Bible, but many other books as well. She says, “This course has made a great difference in my life. Every book has some message and when you read books you get positive energy, and it broadens your concepts of life. This course has made me work more effectively and productively.”

Laxmi Kapse, a resident of Ambedkar Nagar, works as a housekeeping staff in a mall to support her family financially. She was very happy when she came to know that CybageKhushboo was about to conduct an adult literacy course in her community. Due to her work timings, she was unable to join the class. CybageKhushboo in association with Talensetu Skill Training Foundation conducts the ‘Assistant Machine Operators’ course for underprivileged students from rural Maharashtra. I am Arjun Deshmukh. I was a CybageKhushboo beneficiary from the years 2014- 2018. I was brought up by my grandparents. My grandfather was getting a small amount of pension which was our only source of income. Till my school days somehow we managed, but when I reached college things got tough. I got admission into the prestigious BITS Pilani University for the Btech course, but there was no way I could afford the fees. CybageKhushboo entered my life as a ray of hope by granting me full a scholarship. To cut my entire story short, it would have been impossible for me to complete my education without the financial aid provided by CybageKhushboo. I am proud to share that now I work as a Quantitative Researcher at JP Morgan which is the number one investment bank in the world. Without aid from CybageKhushboo the trajectory of my life would have been very different. CybageKhushboo foundation is like a ‘mother figure’ to me. I went through a time when I lost all hopes for my future and took the decision to quit further education because of my financial condition. CybageKhushboo in association with Dnyanda Institute of Flow Piping Technology (DIFPT), conducts the plumbing technology course for underprivileged students from rural Maharashtra. This 45 days course is aimed at providing theoretical and on-the-job training to school, college dropouts, and to unskilled rural youth. Hello everyone, I am Jitendra Taneja, a CybageKhushboo beneficiary from the 2016-17 batch and I hail from Indore. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor's in Engineering from Sushila Devi Bansal College of Engineering. I can never forget the moment when I was shortlisted for CybageKhushboo’s scholarship program. Today I am writing this to share my experience with CybageKhushboo trust. I came across CybageKhushboo through an article published in Newspaper and decided to dig deeper. I got a brief introduction and liked the help offered by the Trust. The scholarship they provided proved to be of great help for my academics. But apart from the scholarship, the sessions conducted for soft skills was the cherry on the cake. All the extracurricular activities conducted helped me to stand apart in my college. I would also like to tell you that in recent campus placement I got placed in Accenture as an Associate Software Engineer. My name is Mayur Rajendra Kachare. I wanted to become a software developer. After completing my HSC, I took admission in the BCA program. Then I got to know about CybageKhushboo Charitable Trust from my college Principal. Cybagekhushboo provided me a scholarship that complete my graduation. They also conducted sessions for us that helped us prepare for interview. These sessions also helped me improve my personality, communication skills, soft skills, group discussions, etc. Currently, I am employed with Cognizant Technology Solutions as an Associate for Data Processing.

As I was passionate about the technical world, I wanted to become an engineer. After the completion of my diploma, I couldn't join engineering because of financial constrain. I am a VIT alumnus and have a degree in Mechanical Engineer batch of 2016. I got selected for the Global Internship Program in Japan by JFE Engineering Corporation in my fourth year of college. Based on my good performance, they selected me to work in their India location office. My professional achievements now include presenting a technical paper that got selected amongst 16 teams of JFE.

After completing my Diploma from ESSP college, Pune with 80%, I started looking for a job as my family was not able to support me for a graduation course in Engineering. My father was already supporting 7 family members with only with very meagre source of income. Paying for the Engineering college fees was beyond impossible and challenging for my parents. I am Pooja Shinde, I am 20 years old. I have completed my HSC. Due to the financial crisis in the family, I was not able to pursue further education. I have two siblings. My name is Pratik Ghatkar. I am a hotel management graduate working with Faasos online food delivery. After completing college, I started doing a part-time job with Faasos. My father used to drink alcohol and due to that we did not have enough money for all the home expenses. My Mother started working as a maid and educated all of us. Currently, I am studying BA at Jaidev College, Swargate. After First Year, as the economic condition wasn't good, I was in search of a job, but however much I tried, I couldn't find any as I did not have any work experience nor the needed skills. Then, I heard about this CybageKhushboo’s DEO course and joined the same. Upon successful completion of the training, now I am supporting my family. Our family migrated from Jalgaon to Pune in 2017. At that time, my father and I used to work to support the family. My father drinks alcohol and smokes, so most of his earning is wasted on the same. My Father’s income was sufficient only for the basic sustenance of the family. To spend on my education, my mother had to work as a house maid. At first, I worked as a football coach in my school. Then, I worked in a cloth shop as a salesman. I have also worked in a place where we created artificial dental implants. During this Data Entry course, I had to work in cloth shop so as to assist my family. It was a bit difficult to manage all this but because of the DEO course of Cybage, I have a good job now. It was with the help of CybageKhushboo that I was able to complete B.Sc. degree. I am placed with HSBC Software Development and now capable of supporting my younger siblings. I wish to also study further to become a Software Developer.

My father works at MIDC and is the sole bread-winner of our family. Pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering and that too in a city like Pune was impossible. CybageKhushboo helped me fulfill my dream of getting an engineering degree. I have been hired by TCS through campus recruitments. Since this is just the beginning of my career, I wish to learn more and enrich my knowledge.

My father could only support my education till the diploma level. It crushed me to think about halting my education and taking up a job after diploma. But CybageKhushboo understood my plight and supported me with a scholarship to continue with engineering. My confidence was also boosted by the program in soft skills organized by CybageKhushboo. Though I am working with Crompton Greaves Ltd., I want to become an IAS officer so that I can work for the people

Supporting three children with the only source of income being selling snacks at the weekly village bazaar was challenging for my parents to make ends meet. Without the major financial backing of CybageKhushboo, it would have been impossible for me to pursue engineering and develop my skills for the corporate world. I am successfully placed at Accenture. CybageKhushboo gave me the confidence to learn more technologies and aim to become an entrepreneur. Someday, I also wish to write a book on ‘my journey into this technology world’.

My mother has been the only working member of our family. She has supported my needs whenever she could. CybageKhushboo was the beacon of hope when my college admission plans seemed impossible due to high fees. With their help, I could complete my education. I’m now supporting my mother by working for Yardi Software. Using the knowledge gained, in future, I would like to develop an innovative solution.

The CybageKhushboo scholarship made my dreams come true. It came to me at a time when I was planning to forego my chosen stream due to financial constraints. My father being the only earning member, the family income could not support a professional course like BCA. CybageKhushboo took me under their wings, and I sailed through BCA with the Best Student of the Year award and a distinction in the course. CybageKhushboo not only provides financial aid, but also trains the students for all their needs. Elston Sir’s session on facing job interviews gave me immense confidence, and I am now placed with the HSBC Development Center. Once I’ve found my footing, I wish to give back to the community by sponsoring a student in future. I am truly thankful to CybageKhusboo for shaping my life and career.

After completing my class XII from Fergusson College, Pune, I wanted to pursue engineering. But I knew the financial stress this would cause my parents. Empathizing with my situation, Khushboo extended me the much-required help. I got to know of Khushboo from a newspaper. I approached them and, today, because of Khushboo, I am able to pursue my dream of becoming a Mechanical Engineer. Khushboo has not only helped me financially but also given me the confidence of dreaming big despite all odds! I wish Khushboo touches more lives like me and fills their life with fragrance! Currently, I am working with Cummins India Ltd. as a Product Engineer.

Our concern was for a few good students, who were socially and economically backward and wished to pursue the Nursing course. However, they couldn’t apply for bank loans due to the lack of guarantors. When we approached CybageKhushboo, Mrs. Ritu Nathani assured us of her support. She visited the college and interacted with the students. She offered to sponsor 15 eligible girl students every year until the completion of their studies.This unstinted support from Cybage and CybageKhushboo will help the economically backward but deserving girl students to pursue their studies and become independent Nursing professionals. CybageKhushboo’s support is in tune with its motto of ‘Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime’.

I am writing expressing my sincere gratitude to Cybage for making it possible for me to continue my education. I was thrilled to learn about my selection for the CybageKhushboo scholarship program. CybageKhushboo is the only trust I came across that provides scholarships to financially poor students to pursue their dreams without laying any conditions. They believe in the power of education. The financial assistance provided by them was a great help to me. Thank you for your generosity and support!

CybageKhushboo has played a very important role in my life. After I completed class 12 and successfully cleared the entrance examination, I got admission into a medical college. But the college fees were beyond what I could afford. I lost all my hopes and gave up on my dream of becoming a doctor and so did my parents. At this point, Khushboo helped me by offering a scholarship of Rs 1, 50,000. I will always be thankful to the trust as without them, I would not have been able to pursue my dream.

After completing my diploma from Sinhgad College with 62.14%, I wanted to enroll for an engineering course, but financial constraints stood in my way. While I was in a dilemma about what I should do next, I heard that Cybage is helping the needy and promising students. I applied for the scholarship. After an interview and a home visit by Khushboo personnel, I was awarded the scholarship. Cybage is indeed an angel for me and many poor and deserving students like me. Now, I am working with Global Group construction company as a Jr. Site Engineer.

The rising fees and educational expenses snatch away the little chance that someone like me has to compete with others. The next option is to take a loan, which doesn’t come easily for someone who cannot furnish a financial guarantee. My aim was to seek admission into IIT. I topped MH-CET examination and also obtained a good rank in IIT-JEE. But that was not enough. IITs charge high fees which is difficult for a middle-class family to pay up. I applied for a scholarship at Khushboo and was pleasantly surprised to know that I was selected for the program. My complete tuition fee is paid by Khushboo. Currently, I am working with Amazon as a Software Development Engineer.

It is heartening to see that many deserving BBA and BCA students from the economically backward category, who are studying in our college, are recipients of CybageKhushboo scholarships for the past few years. The students and their parents consider it a blessing and a well-timed encouragement. We congratulate and thank Cybage, along with Mr. Arun Nathani and Mrs. Ritu Nathani, for making CSR a potent force in shaping the lives of many students and their families. CybageKhushboo has infused self-belief among the students through these scholarships. Our college, under the management of Jai Hind Sindhu Education Trust, is happy to receive continued encouragement from Cybage.
